The Long Island International Film Expo needed a “quick & dirty” redesign in 2013 shortly before the beginning of their 17th annual film festival. I put together a quick static site that would pass muster for that year and then with some advanced planning we were ready to go for the following year’s festival by revamping their current logo, upgrading their site onto the WordPress platform and implementing a more consistent branding of their marketing materials. With the logo, I mixed old with new – keeping their iconic lighthouse the forefront of their branding but incorporating bright colors. The website followed with brighter colors and more modern look. An event calendar was added that was dynamically driven by the new database running their site and together with their Eventbrite membership, the website was finally able to sell tickets to the masses with just a click. In addition to their logo and website, I support LIIFE by helping them with their marketing materials throughout the year including social media banners, save the date cards and posters.
